Remote Reach, AIChE’s Outreach Project, is designed to provide students with the opportunity to give back to the community while learning valuable communication and presentation skills. Students work in teams to create STEM modules on a variety of topics that they present to elementary, middle, and high school students several times a quarter. Each of our K-12 modules incorporates fun and engaging demos that relate to the STEM topic we are covering. Our goal is to foster children’s interest in science and engineering.
Additionally, we compete in AIChE’s K-12 STEM Outreach Competition where we submit our K-12 modules, present them to K-12 students, and receive feedback. We are excited to share that we placed at first in the 3rd-5th grade category and second overall AIChE’s 2023 National Conference for “Mission Dissolution,” and that our new modules were accepted to compete at the conference.
Want to get more involved with the community? Join Remote Reach for the opportunity to create and present a module as part of a team! You can find all the information in our weekly emails.
